Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser
In life, we’re surrounded by facts – numbers, reports, circumstances, and visible realities that compete daily for our attention. But beyond what the eyes can see, there’s another truth – a higher truth – that comes from the Word of God. Too often, we allow the physical truth to speak louder than the spiritual, and in doing so, we limit what God wants to reveal and release in our lives. This article is a divine reminder that faith was never meant to be ruled by sight. When we align our hearts with God’s Word instead of our circumstances, impossible things become possible. Are you ready to shift your focus from the limitations of the visible to the power of the invisible? Learn how to rise above human reasoning and embrace the power of spiritual truth that transforms what is seen by what is spoken from heaven through this article. Be blessed as you read!
There are spiritual truths and physical truths. When we let physical truths overshadow spiritual truths, we hinder ourselves from receiving the good things that God has for us. Many of us have allowed physical truths to take precedence over spiritual ones. As a result, we often discredit ourselves or feel discouraged when trying to understand what it truly means to ask and receive, seek to find, and knock on doors to be opened. This is exactly where the enemy wants us to be. Most of us are familiar with Matthew 7:7, which says, “Ask, and it shall be given you.” Seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened. However, when we don’t see an immediate response to our prayers, we try to rationalise the situation by thinking, “Well, I suppose not everyone receives answers.” This perspective is not supported by scripture, as the following verse states, “For everyone who asks receives” (Matthew 7:8).
Many of us struggle to fully believe in the power of scripture. We often lose our enthusiasm for the Word and stop expecting it to work miracles in our lives. Have you ever prayed and felt like your prayers weren’t being answered? Most of us have experienced moments when we offered a prayer with faith, only to feel as though it went unheard. Perhaps you dove into the Word of God, planted a seed of faith, and prayed for a miracle, yet nothing seemed to happen. The challenge is that many people tend to stop believing at that critical moment. God’s Word says in Mark 11:24, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” This scripture highlights that believing you have received what you pray for is essential to receiving from the Lord. Jesus made it clear that if you sincerely believe you have received when you pray, you will obtain what you desire from Him. This is a spiritual truth that applies to all believers who wish to trust and receive their desires.
Many Christians struggle with this concept. The Bible instructs us to believe that we have received what we desire when we pray. Although we may not yet see the physical evidence of those results, we are called to trust in this spiritual truth. Physical truth relies solely on our senses – what we can see, taste, hear, smell, or feel. However, Jesus emphasises that our belief must occur “when we pray,” even though the fulfilment of our desires is expected to happen in the future. This fulfilment may occur immediately or take a longer time, but the word “shall” indicates that it is meant to happen later. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
We possess a kind of faith that enables us to believe in things that cannot be seen. According to spiritual truth, God calls things that do not exist as though they already do (Romans 4:17). In Mark 11:24, Jesus teaches that this kind of faith is essential for receiving answers to prayer. You must believe that you receive your answer “when you pray,” not when you actually see the desired outcome. This is the essence of spiritual truth.
" We possess a kind of faith that enables us to believe in things that cannot be seen. "
Some people believe it’s misleading to claim you’re healed when you don’t feel healed. However, that perspective relies solely on your five senses. You must walk in the spirit, as there are spiritual realities. John 6:63 says, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”. The Bible conveys spiritual truth. Our understanding is limited if we only focus on the physical realm. Just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean God hasn’t done it. God always responds to prayers that align with His will. When He answers your prayer, He provides it in a spiritual form. For example, if you ask for financial assistance, God releases the spiritual power necessary to create those finances. Similarly, if you pray for healing, He offers it in spiritual terms. God’s actions ultimately take place in the spiritual realm, independent of our understanding. Faith is the key that brings those answers into the physical realm. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Your faith brings what God has accomplished into physical reality. God provides it to you in the spirit, then faith manifests it in the physical realm.
Many believers often feel that God hasn’t answered their prayers because they cannot perceive it in the physical realm. However, it’s important to have faith that something is happening beyond what your five senses can detect. If you wait to believe until you see the answer, you may miss out on what God has for you. While it’s true that you may not yet see the physical manifestation of your answer, it’s crucial not to let physical reality overshadow spiritual truth. The Bible says that you must believe you have received when you pray (Mark 11:24).
There are two realms: the physical world and the spiritual world. Your faith can bring what exists in the spiritual realm into the physical realm. The spiritual truth is that the Lord responds instantly to our prayers that meet His qualifications. He answers our prayers right away when we ask in faith (as stated in Matthew 21:22 and Mark 11:24) or when we ask without wavering (James 1:5-7). It is also essential that we ask according to God’s will (1 John 5:14-15). However, we must remember that the Lord operates in the spiritual realm, and His actions may not always be immediately obvious to our physical senses. By faith, we must believe that He is answering our prayers even before we see any physical evidence. If we only believe once we see results, that is not true faith (2 Corinthians 5:7) but rather doubt, which can prevent us from receiving what we desire from the Lord (James 1:5-7). Faith itself is our evidence (Hebrews 11:1), not our physical sight.
Some of you may feel that you don’t have enough faith to believe in a miracle. However, the truth is that you already possess all the faith you need because God has given you sufficient faith to believe. Romans 12:3 states that God has allocated a measure of faith to everyone. We all receive the same amount of faith. Even faith as small as a mustard seed is enough, for that faith has the power to move mountains. In Galatians 2:20, Paul said, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Paul states here that he uses the faith of Jesus, meaning you and I possess the same amount of faith that Jesus has. That should be enough.
