Dear friend,

As you are trusting the Lord for healing today, it is so important for you to know that God wants you healed and well. My Bible tells me clearly that God is a God of love and that He is a good God (1 Chronicles 16:34, 1 John 4:16).

This means that if you are sick, God’s heart is and will always be to heal and restore health and life to you. He so desires for you to walk in health and life that He gave you His beloved Son, Jesus, so that you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). God is for you to walk in abundant health and life. He does not want your body and life sapped, incapacitated or debilitated by pain, sickness, and disease, and He will never withhold healing from you.

How important is your healing and health to the Lord? So important that He Himself paid the heaviest and most terrible price for your wholeness! At the cross, Jesus was judged, burnt, smitten and crushed. He paid the full price for your healing, health, and wholeness so you could experience His abundant life. Today, there is no symptom in your body that is too insignificant for Him to care about, and no condition that is greater than what His finished work has accomplished.

Beloved, if you’re facing challenges in your body today, we encourage you to meditate on the love and finished work of our Lord Jesus through the healing scriptures below. These Bible verses pertain specifically to your healing. In them, you will see the Lord’s heart to heal you and your loved ones, and how your healing has already been paid for at the cross. When you see also how willingly and compassionately Jesus simply healed all who came to Him, as long as they had a physical need, faith will rise in your heart to know that He wants to and can do the same for you.

You may find some of the verses familiar, but we pray this will not stop you from soaking yourself in these healing scriptures, chewing on them and trusting the powerful and living Word of God to bring healing and life to your body. The Bible tells us that God’s Word is “life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:22). So, as you immerse yourself in God’s healing promises and speak them over your body, expect to receive an abundance of His divine healing and resurrection life!

Apart from these healing scriptures, you will also find a prayer at the end of the verses that you can pray or speak over yourself or your loved ones. We pray that through these avenues, you will keep receiving the healing and wholeness you are trusting Jesus for, and keep walking in an increasingly greater measure of His health and life!

GOD WANTS YOU HEALED AND WHOLE

Surely, He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

PRAYER FOR HEALING AND WHOLENESS

“Lord Jesus, I thank You that You love me and that You are both able and willing to heal me. At the cross, You took all my sicknesses and pains in Your own body, and by Your stripes, I am healed! Dear friend,

If you have been waiting on the Lord for provision, know that God’s heart is for you to be abundantly supplied. The greatest proof of this is that God has already given you His very best, Jesus Christ. And when you have the Lord, you have everything that you need (1 Corinthians 1:30, 2 Peter 1:3).

What is it that you need today? Healing for yourself or a loved one? Favour at work or with your spouse? Wisdom to make important decisions about your career, children or who to marry? God assures you that He knows that “you need all these things” (Matthew 6:31–32) and that He has already provided for them.

How? Through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross! At the cross, Jesus though He was rich became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). He carried all your sicknesses and pains on His own body (see Isaiah 53:5) so that yours may be whole, healthy and strong. He wore the crown of thorns (John 19:2) so that your mind may be free from torment. He died alone (Psalm 88:18) so that you may always be surrounded by loved ones and friends.

Jesus has done it all and provided it all for you. There is nothing you need to do to qualify for or deserve God’s blessings and provision. Jesus declared in John 10:10 that He came that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly. So beloved, come boldly to your heavenly Father today and you will “obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

As you wait on the Lord for your breakthrough, continue to focus on your heavenly Father’s goodness and His willingness and ability to provide what you need. What follows is a collection of God’s promises for provision, some already well-known and well-loved, that will help keep you enveloped in a cloud of your Father’s love and grace.

In addition to these scripture verses, we encourage you to pray the prayer that has been included at the end over yourself and your situation. Trust in your heavenly Father’s heart of love toward you, and the perfection of your Saviour in saving and providing for you and see all the wonderful promises in His Word come to pass for you!

PRAYER FOR GOD’S PROVISION

“Lord Jesus, I thank You that You love me unconditionally and that You are both willing and more than able to provide for me. At the cross, You were made poor so that by Your poverty, I can be abundantly supplied today! You are my Provider, Your favour surrounds me as with a shield and You open wide doors of good opportunity for me. I do not have to struggle or despair. As I wait on You for Your supply in my life, I choose to focus on and give praise for Your great love for me. Amen!”

YOUR RIGHT TO ANSWERED PRAYER

As the righteousness of God, you don’t have to beg God to hear and answer your prayers. You have a right to stand boldly in His presence and get all the answers you need. Begging does not motivate Him.

Many believers have a case of “mistaken identity.” They mistake their relationship with God as a Master-to-slave, rather than a Father-to-child, relationship. They relate to Him like a slave relates to his owner. A slave begs and accepts whatever crumbs fall off of his master’s table. A child, on the other hand, knows he has every right to live well, just like his father.

God can’t and doesn’t find pleasure in faithless prayer. Your prosperity and faith please Him (Psalm 35:27; Romans 1:17; Hebrews 11:6). Therefore, go into His presence with confidence knowing that you are His child and have every right to the best in life. As the righteousness of God, you deserve all He has to offer. You have a divine inheritance of good health, wealth, and total life prosperity!

THE CRY OF THE RIGHTEOUS

Don’t take lightly what the Bible says about your inheritance. “Righteousness” is more than a fancy Christian term. It is God’s stamp of approval and the key to receiving your inheritance. Unless you are convinced that you are the righteousness of God, you will never develop the assurance that you can have answers to your prayers.

Psalm 34 will encourage you when it seems like your prayers are going unanswered. It is addressed to righteous people who seek the Lord and trust Him. Verses 15 and 17 in the New International Version say, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry…The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”

The word cry in these verses is not referring to tears. It means to “call out for help.” As the righteousness of God, when we call out to Him in faith, He hears us and delivers us from trouble. Why? Because He is always attentive to our voices and ready to respond when we’re in trouble. The faith-filled cry of the righteous is a trigger that causes our Heavenly Father to move quickly on our behalf!

Jeremiah 33:3 is a promise from God which says, “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things….” (The Amplified Bible). If you desire for God to do great and mighty things in your family, finances, health and other areas of your life, call on Him in faith. First John 5:14-15 says to have confidence, knowing that when you pray according to the will of God, which is the Word of God, He hears you. And when He hears you, He will grant your requests.

Praying according to the Word gets the Father’s attention because He only responds to the language of His Word. It is your guarantee to getting results. You can count on it!

CONFESSIONAL PRAYER

Faith-based confessions bring into existence those things God has promised. As you confess what God says about you, the evidence will manifest (Isaiah 44:26). Here are some confessions to help to establish your faith for answered prayer. 

In the name of Jesus, I declare that I have a blood-bought right to answered prayer. The Word of God is my guarantee. Father, by prayer, supplication and with thanksgiving, I can make my requests known to You. You hear the prayer of the righteous and answer them. Your eyes are on me and Your ears are open to hear my prayers.

I am connected to Christ Jesus, and I am anointed. In everything I do I am more than a conqueror. Because I abide in You, and Your Word abides in me, I see the manifestation of answered prayer. When I speak Your Word, it does not return without accomplishing what it was sent to do.

Lord, I thank You that I walk in favour with man and with You. Wherever I go and whatever I do, Your favour goes before me. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. Therefore, I believe I receive what I pray for right now. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
