Every Christian needs to live to fulfil God’s will. You may say, how will I know God’s will? And the answer is, God’s will is in His word – the Bible. Therefore, we live to fulfil scripture. Fulfilling scripture is obeying God’s word. Don’t lean on your own understanding, but rather follow the word of God. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
In Gen 12:1-3, God told Abraham to leave his home and family and He would show him where to go. Abraham didn’t lean on his own understanding but followed God’s leading and he was able to fulfil scripture to become the father of many nations. Noah was told to build an ark because the flood was coming. In Noah’s time no one had seen rain, so even imagining what a flood meant was illogical. But that was Noah’s assignment in life, and he was able to fulfil God’s word despite doing a project that seemed irrational at that time. So, my dear reader, live to fulfil scripture in your life!
