“For we live by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor. 5:7 NIV).
We walk by faith and not by sight. If you walk by sight, you’ll only concentrate on what you see, what’s naturally happening around you, and what you hear. It’s amazing when you become spiritually minded and find out who you are in Christ, you start walking by the spirit and what the word says. The world is full of evil so Jesus warned us in John 16:33 NIV: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
He’s saying that even in trouble, you can have peace. Jesus is saying that in this life there will be troubles, but in me you will have peace. People may hate you, but don’t lose sleep over that, focus on the joy you have in the Lord. You have peace, don’t be depressed and don’t be discouraged. In our spirit we have joy, we are walking in who we are in Christ. So, I’m not saying that you ignore your emotions, but you don’t let them control you. You control your emotions by walking by faith and not by sight.
