“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord” (Eph. 6:4).
We are responsible to God to influence our children and society. Disciple your children and see what God does through you and them. We must disciple them with the word of God. Discipleship is God’s plan and purpose for our lives. God expects us to teach our children all that He has taught us. Teach your children, tell them son, daughter, this is what God is saying. Fathers and mothers, you cannot afford to fail to be a disciple in your home. If you don’t disciple your children about the things of God the devil will disciple them in things that will destroy, ruin and wreck their lives for all eternity.
If you don’t disciple your children, the world is full of discipleship. Watch the TV and see what’s on it. Majority of things on TV are programming their minds and thinking so that they cannot discern truth from error. To disciple someone is to program their thinking that life is to emulate the person of Jesus Christ. The influence you have on your children could be bad or good. Supposing a parent doesn’t tell the truth, the children carry that in their adult lives. The world is under your sphere of influence because you are the salt and light of the world. Our spiritual reputation must be well known so that God would be glorified because of our exemplary obedience to the fundamentals of the Christian faith.
