The Purpose Of Salvation

And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again” (2 Cor. 5:15).

God created us in His own image, but Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden and fell short of that glorious image. Because God is so merciful and kind, He restored mankind. But sadly, there are people who haven’t taken advantage of God’s gift of restoration because they are either living in ignorance or they’ve just hardened their hearts. Thank God, for some of us, we have received the gift of salvation, but that’s not enough. God has left us here on earth to live for Him.  “And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again” (2 Cor. 5:15).

We are to live to glorify Him. We are to live to bring changes to society, so we have purposes on this earth. Salvation is not just about missing hell and doing nothing, but waiting for God to take you to heaven. Those who don’t know what they are doing on earth are not finding fulfilment in life. Every single day, they are anticipating Christ’s second coming, which isn’t bad. They desire to see the return of Christ today, but for some of us, we don’t want Christ to come right now. You may ask me why? Because we’ve got a job to do here. I don’t want to go to heaven and miss my rewards, because God has left us on this earth to do His work. I want to bring many to salvation before I go to heaven. I want to take many along with me to heaven, because Christ didn’t shed His blood for nothing.
