“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Eph. 2:8-9).
In the eyes of God, every one of us needs the grace of God to be saved, to be forgiven, to be guilt free and to have the right standing with Him. If you haven’t trusted Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour, you are just as helpless to save yourself and to forgive yourself. The only way that your sins can be forgiven is to come to the cross, where Jesus Christ died for your sins.
The forgiveness of our sins is the grace of God. It’s the forgiveness of God that comes through sacrifice. God has provided a way for us to be saved from the guilt of sin. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17). Reader, life is never complete without Christ.
