“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (1 Peter 5:8-9).
The Bible is saying, the devil cannot devour everyone. Satan is going about seeking whom he may devour, and I can guarantee you that the people who allow him to devour, he will devour them. If for some reason you have allowed him to mess things up in your life, then take action now. Tell him right now to pack his things and go. Command him to go in the name of Jesus. Is the devil tormenting your life or your family? Resist him in the name of Jesus. The devil is ready to flee from you. He is waiting for your resistance.
Resist him with the weapon God has given you, which is His word. In the name of Jesus devil go. If your marriage is under attack, command the devil to go. If your children are being influenced and tormented by the enemy, exercise your authority and command him to go. If your business is failing, resist him by commanding him to go. Are you fighting a deadly disease? Rebuke it in Jesus’ name. If your life is empty, hopeless, and seems to be meaningless, command the devil to leave you alone. Resist him and he will flee because he cannot stand your resistance in the name of Jesus.
