The enemy is ruthless, he will try to attack you when you are at your weakest, but the word is your answer. I have found that instead of just rebuking thoughts which you must rebuke and stand against, the best way is to replace them. In other words, if you are thinking; oh I’m such a failure. First resist this thought – I’m not a failure, and don’t stay focused on that negative thought. You need some replacement scriptures.
Let me give you some replacement scriptures: 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:4, 13, 17).
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you”. (Rom. 8:11).
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Gal. 2:20).
These are replacement scriptures. They have helped me over all these years in my Christian walk. These scriptures do more for us in many areas. You must rehearse that the Spirit of God lives in you. Doing this will drive out everything contrary to that. It builds up confidence in you that God lives in you. So, you rebuke negative thoughts, but you must also replace them with good thoughts.
