“Therefore, be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain” (James 5:7).
A farmer doesn’t go and dig up a seed that has been planted to see why it’s not growing. He waits, why? Because He knows when the rains come, he is going to see the fruit. How long I pray for something and how diligently I bring it to God, is like sending a message of how much value you put on that prayer to God. This is how much it weighs; God I’m not giving up, it’s so valuable, God this is how much I think it weighs. I’m not giving up no matter what I see or what I hear. Do you think God doesn’t honour that? Keeping on sends a message to God that this is valuable. This is crucial, this is critical, so never give up. That’s what Luke 18 is all about, regarding the woman and the judge.
Jesus said, pray and don’t faint. We all have a mind, and we all have this awesome power to make a choice. A choice to either believe what He says, or not believe it. And if you are willing to believe what He says, you will find out what God can and will do in your life. But you never will if you don’t. Are you living your life wondering what He would have done if I had just trusted Him? If I had just believed Him, if I had just taken Him at His word and said Lord, I know you want to do good things in my life. I’m going to believe and anticipate it. I have the right to make big requests. Trusting Him, asking in His will, and never giving up until I have the answer to my prayer. What a wonderful potential every single person has.
