“Do not labour for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him” (John 6:27).
Why are you in pursuit of that which doesn’t satisfy? Many think that what they’re pursuing in this world are the main worthwhile things in life. What are you seeking, my dear friend? What are you really trying to get out of this life? What’s your goal? People all over the world, whether young or old are in pursuit of the thing which will satisfy their needs, give reality to their dreams and substance to their hopes.
In fact, that ‘thing’ you’re seeking is actually a person – the God Man who came from heaven to this earth more than two thousand years ago to save humanity. He is the Lord and saviour Christ Jesus who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, rose from the dead for our justification and ascended into heaven. He is the very person saying to you: “Hi! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money, come, buy, and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance” (Isa. 55:1-2).
