Insightful, Biblical Devotions
The Bible says Hannah continued to pray to the Lord when she had a problem with childbearing. She had her breakthrough because she presented her case to the Lord (See 1 Samuel 1:1-20). When your friends or close associates become your enemies, instead of having bitterness towards them and thinking about taking revenge, carry everything to God in prayer. Her close associate turned to an adversary. She provoked Hannah but instead of Hannah complaining, or taking matters in her own hands and telling other people to join her to fight her adversary, she went to the Lord in prayer.
Hannah went to the Lord and presented her case. The challenge you are facing is God’s challenge, not yours. God will cause your challenge to work for your good. She cried and vowed “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.” 12 And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth. 19 Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. 20 So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.”
May the Lord remember you, and answer your prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
