For “you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls” (1 Peter 2:25 NIV).
God created you to be catered for like sheep by the good shepherd. Don’t have this idea that I’m strong, I am rich, I am wise. I provide for myself, etc. Don’t live like that, you will stress out, grow old faster, and die younger. You are meant to live life being guided by the good shepherd, Christ Jesus. Carry out your duties being guided by the shepherd. Rest being directed by the shepherd, make your plans knowing you are being directed.
The world says do things in your own way, do things independent of God. Friend, how about being led by the good shepherd who is wiser, stronger, more powerful than you, who can see way ahead of you? Who loves you unconditionally, who will take care of you? How about leading a peaceful and restful life? You will not live a stressful life but a restful life because you have a good shepherd. Never live your life independent of the good shepherd. So, do you know the good shepherd? Not just having this knowledge in your head, but are you experiencing Him as your shepherd?
