“If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land” (Isa. 1:19 NIV).
God had been speaking to people all through the years. He said to Noah, build an ark. Supposing Noah said I heard you, but I misunderstood it. He said to Abraham, get out of your country to the land that I will show you because I’m going to make you a great nation. Abraham didn’t say oh I have another thing in mind, I want to go on a holiday elsewhere. He spoke to apostle Paul (Saul of Tarsus) on the road to Damascus. He spoke to John on the Island of Patmos.
The scriptures have many chapters where God is speaking to people. Does God still speak? Yes, He does. Is He willing to speak to you? Yes indeed. Have the courage to listen to God and obey Him, and you can change the world. Stop analysing the pros and cons. When God spoke to Noah, it had never rained on earth before, but God said build me an ark. God spoke to Isaac in the midst of drought, when everybody was fleeing to Egypt for a better life, but God said stay where you are, and I will bless you. And what happened? The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy (Gen. 26:13).
