Insightful, Biblical Devotions
There are two types of Christians: those who live for God and those who do not. Which one are you? Are you living for Christ and taking advantage of every opportunity to live for God and witness for Him? Are you growing in your faith and bringing increase to God’s Kingdom? Are you serving God with all of your heart and soul? Or are you like those who live for themselves and not for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?
“And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15)
And that is His plan for our lives. We can’t afford to live for ourselves or be quiet. Jesus is our example. He came onto this earth doing His father’s will. He said: “Not according to my will but your will” (Luke 22:42). Christ’s purpose was clear: He said, “I came to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). He came on a mission and He lived for His mission. There is nothing on earth that exists without a purpose. You were not born for nothing. Discover your purpose and live it. Don’t live an empty life. Our main focus on this earth must be seeking the will of God for our lives. And what’s God’s purpose for our lives? We are to occupy till He comes, we are to represent Him till He comes, we are to live for Him till He comes, we are His ambassadors.
God has committed His glorious gospel which is the power of God to salvation to our trust and we must make every effort to preach it, no matter what kind of opposition we face. The Christian life is an active commitment to serve Him. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Cor. 15:58).
