Insightful, Biblical Devotions
Learn from me (Mat. 11:29).
Think about your life, see what’s going on, and how far you have reached. Maybe you have dreams, visions, and ideas you thought could never happen and now they seem to move in the right direction, and you are doing things without God and everything seems to be just fine. The truth is every single one of us has to give an account to God. Avoid the self-life. What is the self-life? The self-life is the desire to act independently of God. Somebody will say what’s the purpose of all that. Here is the purpose: firstly, your spiritual maturity, for God to grow us up and help us to become like His son, to see things the way Jesus sees and to walk as He walks. Secondly, the purpose is for ministry. You may say what has that got to do with my life. Well, when you trusted Christ as your Lord and saviour, He intended to use you.
You can talk to people who have been mightily used of God very effectively, having an impact on the people around them and they will tell you about their relationship with the Lord. They will tell you about how important it is to depend on God. You learn to be what God wants you to be. What is He asking? Learn from me, submit to my will, yield to me. He knows exactly how to teach us. God desires to bring you to oneness with Him, into an intimate relationship with Him whereby He can use you in a fantastic fashion. My prayer for you is that you will learn from Him, submit, and yield to Him. Let God show you the awesome things He can do in your life if you will just learn from Him.
