Insightful, Biblical Devotions
9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” (Luke 11:9-10).
Jesus couldn’t have said it any clearer than what we have just read. Ask and it shall be given to you. As long as God’s word is used, no situation is hopeless. What honours God is for a believer to say that’s what Jesus said, that’s what I believe and that’s what I’m going to live by. That’s what pleases God. Jesus is the answer to every problem. “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14).
Friend don’t doubt God’s word which says if you ask anything in my name, I will do it. On the basis of that promise, ask and God will release His power so that He can do mighty works in your life. God has an answer to every question and every problem. He is the God who made the heavens and the earth by His great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for Him. He is the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Him? Not at all. With man it may be impossible, but with God all things are possible to those who believe.
