Insightful, Biblical Devotions

Jesus said this about Himself: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

A person is saved through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from anything else. The provision of salvation is granted to all those who believe. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour will be saved, irrespective of who he is or what sins he has committed. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. All our sins were paid for by the death of Jesus. The grace of God brought that onto sinners. And I tell you, God has touched sinners’ hearts and has given them the opportunity to believe and receive because the scripture says, God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). So, God is willing for everybody to be saved.

It’s not God that damned people and it’s not His will for them to be the kind of people that they are. God has a perfect plan to change people’s lives. Everyone has a choice, it’s not only God’s grace that saves. If it’s only God’s grace that saves, every sinner will be saved because the provision has been made, the propitiation has been made for sin, and the grace that brings salvation has been made available to everyone. But many have not responded positively to God’s grace. As far as we know, many have not mixed God’s grace with faith. Therefore, God’s grace is wasted on some sinners. What has been provided for them, just as the same for you and I, has been rejected by them. They didn’t put faith in it. Therefore, the grace of God didn’t accomplish anything. You have to respond positively to God. Do it today, and if you have already done so, help spread this message of hope.
