Insightful, Biblical Devotions
And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren” (Luke 22: 31-32).
We have a shepherd who is adequate. You cannot think of anything, any situation, or any circumstance of life that can baffle our good shepherd who is our genuine lifetime shepherd. He knows exactly what to do in every circumstance. As “sheep,” we only need to remember that we don’t know, but God knows. He knows it before it ever happens, He knows it before hand, He has seen it before and had made preparation so that we don’t live in fear and in a sense of hopelessness.
We live in the sufficiency of our good shepherd, who is Jesus Christ. He enables us to face every single circumstance of life no matter what. He is available and He is adequate to face it. Let me ask you this: are you living your life in your own strength, in your own knowledge and in your own wisdom? Are you working things out yourself? Are you facing life apart from having this good shepherd who is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent? Reflect on these.
