“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim. 2:1-4).
We see God’s plan for everybody from the above text of scripture. Do you want to follow God’s plan for your life? If yes, then learn how to listen to God. It is the will of God that all be saved. But how many people believe? For those of us who have been saved, it isn’t enough just for your sins to be forgiven and become a Christian. There is more to it than that, because “THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS”. The Christian life is walking in the will and purpose of God for your life. You cannot do His will without the strength, knowledge and understanding of the Holy Spirit working within you.
As believers, we don’t walk in the same way as we used to. We walk in a manner that is pleasing to God. Do you live in such a way that someone who knows you knows that something has happened to your life? Can they see a difference in your life? 17 “So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” (Eph. 4:17-18)
