Insightful, Biblical Devotions
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel,” which is translated, “God with us” (Mathew 1:23).
God in Christ is with us. He came as God in human flesh to save us. Why should the word “Emmanuel” in the Hebrew, be translated at all? Emmanuel, which is translated “God with us,” from the Hebrew language into every national language is done so that we may know that we are invited to receive Christ and that God has seen our need and has come down from heaven to save us. So, if God is with us and He is for us, who can be against us? God is with us. He came to deliver us from the power of Satan and you experience that deliverance the moment you receive Christ as your Lord and personal saviour.
God is with you. His favour is with you. His forgiveness is with you. His peace is with you. His grace is with you. His power is with you. And the best is, God is with us. Shout halleluiah and say, ‘He is with me’. Admire the favour which dwells in God with us. Admire the power which dwells in God with us. Are you in trouble? God is with you. He is with us forevermore. Not with us here and there or every now and then. He himself has said he will never leave us nor forsake us. In your sorrows, He is with you. In your troubles, He is with you. In your disappointments, He is with you. But remember that the best of all is that God is with us, and if God be for us, who can be against us? If you are believer in Christ, help spread His good news to everyone. Merry Christmas!
