“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Mat. 6:33)
The enemy is blinding us, he is trying to shut this revelation against us, saying that ‘seek other things first, make the kingdom of God your second, third, fourth or fifth priority’. We think God is taking things away from us. But the above scripture didn’t say, ‘All these things shall be taken away from you’. The text says categorically that ‘All these things shall be added to you’.
Many Christians don’t want to serve God, they don’t want to have an intimate relationship with God because they think they wouldn’t have joy or peace. They think they will lose out. They haven’t renewed their mind with the word of God, and so, they have the wrong mentality that doing what their unbelieving friends are doing will bring them joy. This is all lies of the devil. Jesus said, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Mat. 6:33). So, make it a priority to obey this word of the Lord, and see the transformation that will take place in your life.
