“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” (Ps. 84:11).
We have to believe that God is a good God. He is the best judge of what is good for us, so the Bible says in Ps. 84:11: “… No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly”. Victory over the schemes of the devil is a good thing and God will not withhold this from us if we resist the devil by the power of God’s word. God is a good God, and all the time He’s good. God’s will is for us to prosper. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2). If you don’t believe that, then you will not prosper, you will not resist the situation that you are in.
Some people are not finding a way out of their situation because they think they have sinned against God and that’s why they are in their current situation. Lack of knowledge of God and His word is keeping people in bondage. Often, what makes people susceptible to an attack of the enemy is doubt and unbelief in the goodness of God and the truth of His word. Lots of religious teachings are keeping people in bondage because we have been made to believe that God is teaching us something and perfecting us by afflictions and tribulations that are happening to us. But that is far from the truth. God is a good God and it’s His heart’s desire that we experience His goodness daily by standing in the power of His word!
