Insightful, Biblical Devotions
“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5:18).
For those of us who have been saved, every believer has been given the ministry of reconciliation. Let’s spread the good news to those who are perishing. You wouldn’t want your loved ones to go to hell, would you? It’s sad to see how people can reject the gift of salvation when “It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation” (Heb. 9:27-28).
Many believers today are pleading with sinners to be reconciled to God. “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God” (2 Cor. 5:20). Are you reconciling people to Christ? We are to serve Christ’s purpose. Christ revealed what He came to give us. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Obeying Christ and representing Him is part of the ‘abundant life package’.
