” For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jer. 29:11).
God our father and creator of heaven and earth, decided what we are to become, but it’s a matter of personal choice to become what He intended for us. God created you and me. He is the only one who can tell you the good plan He has for you. He also revealed what’s prepared in heaven for those of us who have accepted Him as our Lord and saviour. “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-3).
There is guidance to heaven or hell but you take a personal responsibility, you make a sensible decision about what is the right thing to do to save your soul. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mat. 16:26). Going to heaven or hell is a personal choice, but friend; since Christ says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6): and receiving Him avoids being tormented in hell, isn’t it a wise decision to receive Him as your saviour?
