“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Mat. 28:19-20).
Jesus said go and make disciples of all nations. Most Christians are familiar with that command but are still reluctant to talk with people about Christ. We need to find courage and ignore our hesitation and confidently speak out. If I should ask you, “when was the last time you ever confronted anybody with the gospel of Jesus Christ?” I wonder how many people will say in the last month, last week, in the last 6 months, last year or not even in your lifetime. And yet nobody must tell you that sharing your faith, and sharing what Jesus Christ means to you is part of the Christian life. In fact, the truth is, that should be the way of life for us, talking about Jesus Christ and telling people what He has done for us. Telling them what the Bible says about their need of Christ.
Whether you are preaching the gospel, whether you are going on a mission trip, it doesn’t make any difference where it is, all of us know that we have been commanded to share our faith. Do you have any reason for not taking your time to share your faith? For some reason, deep down inside you, you have been able to rationalize away your responsibility to personally tell anybody about Christ. The only thing you can conclude is that Satan has deceived you, and he has succeeded in deceiving you. Can you accept the fact that you can be an obedient child of God and not share your faith with somebody? It’s impossible to be walking in the Spirit, obedient to God and never share your faith, never tell anybody what Jesus Christ means to you, never confront anybody with the gospel because that’s all this is about.
