Everything you want to know about your life is in the Bible, and Christ recommends it to us. If every aspect of my life is included in the Bible, then every decision I make should be filtered through the principles of God, which can be found in the word of God – the Bible. Everything you need to know about your life is all in one place – the bible. Even though it was written centuries ago it is still applicable in this day and age.
Every encounter with the word of God is an encounter with your destiny. John the Baptist read the word and found out his purpose was to baptise and prepare the way for our Lord Jesus Christ (Mat. 3:3). Paul, in Gal. 1:15-17 found out his purpose was to preach the good news to the gentiles. Jesus, the Godman, read His purpose statement from the Bible (Luke 4: 17-19). The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah to tell him his purpose (Jer. 1:4-11). Look for your purpose in His word.
