“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Mat. 28:19-20).
God is up to evangelising His world. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world (John 17:18). You and I have the privilege of being a part of the evangelising process. Christians are not just left in this world to enjoy being a child of God. We are left here for a definite reason, for a specific purpose. We are to spend ourselves in getting the gospel to the world. So, God left us here for a purpose, and that purpose is to become involved in the missionising and evangelising the world. The message of the gospel is the good news of the power of God onto salvation by grace through faith.
The mission of the church and every individual Christian is to get the message out there. Otherwise, why do we exist? I ask you this question. Why should God leave us on this earth, if we are not going to share the gospel? If we are not going to conform to His likeness? If we are not going to serve His purpose? We are not here to live for ourselves, make our money, spend our money, live how we like, and live our own selfish lives. Why should God leave us here one moment longer if we are not going to fulfill the very purpose for which He created us? There’s no reason. I want to say to you that if you are not serving God in some way, you are missing your purpose of being here. He left us here for that reason.
