“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Gal. 2:20).
What the New Testament believer possesses is the greatest healing and lifting power on earth. Christ has given us His life and power and has commanded us to occupy until He comes. We are here with a purpose in mind, and that purpose is to live the life of Jesus Christ and that life is a warm hearted, intimate, and personal involvement in the lives of people who are hurting, and who desperately need to know the truth – to feel it through you, to hear it through you and to see it in your life that Jesus Christ cares for them.
In order to do this, we need to listen to God. We need to understand what God wants us to do within the Kingdom, what change He wants to see in us and society and how we go about making that change. “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant” (Jer. 1:9-10). Believers have a story to tell but many are not sure how to tell people or who to tell to make meaningful change. We pray the Lord’s prayer: your Kingdom come but God’s Kingdom coming on this earth depends on you and me.
