“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Ps. 27:14).
You have to be strong because people thought Noah was undertaking a stupid project when God commanded him to build an ark on a dry land. He waited for 120 years before the flood came. He waited; he didn’t abandon his God given project even though he had to wait for so long. Does it take courage? Yes. Does it take faith? Yes. Does it take strength to wait at times when you don’t know what to do next? Yes. And there are times that He says move and sometimes it takes courage and strength to move.
He has said very clearly this is what I want you to do but you don’t know all the details. That’s why you can’t rely on pros and cons. Maybe this or maybe that. We are all looking for clear direction. We want direction that’s so clear, so plain, so evident that we can move in that direction. Abraham looked stupid when God said leave your father’s house and go to a place that I will show you (see Gen. 12:1-3). His family and friends may have asked, where are you going? And he said I don’t know, God said He will show me. We all want direction that’s so plain, so clear, so evident that we can move in that direction.
