Many people don’t recognise that they are not giving God opportunity to get involved in their lives. Because of that, many are not operating in the gifts of God. They are not walking in the blessings God has for them. God prepared good works for us before we were saved, and we have to give Him the opportunity to help us walk in those good works. Many believers are doing something they have not been called to do because God’s will is not at the centre of their lives.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10).
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jer. 29:11).
How do you give God opportunity to work His plans in you and through you? You give God opportunity to help you walk in His plans by fellowshipping with Him and seeking Him wholeheartedly. Doing this will give God the opportunity to change your life and achieve His purposes through you. After reading Jeremiah 29:11, where God declares that He Has good plans for us, He goes on to tell us how we can consult Him to lead us every step of the way. See the following two verses:
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jer.29:12-13).
