“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21 NIV).
The Bible says there is the Broadway that leads to hell and a Narrow way that leads to heaven. And many are on the broad way. Yes, God is sovereign, but He has given us free will and it’s up to us to decide what we choose. If you are trying to do something and you don’t feel peace about it, then it’s an indication that it isn’t God’s plan. We were made for greater things than to occupy space on the planet. God has a calling for you and me, and the beauty of it is that our calling is tailor-made for us.
Many people want to live selfish and mediocre lives. All they want is to get a job, a house, a spouse, kids and a car, but God created us for more than that. God’s plan for us is tailor made which means it’s unique to you and me. Just as our DNA and fingerprints are different from anyone else, so are the plans of God for our lives unique to every individual. His plans prevail, so cooperate with Him. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (Jer. 1:5 NIV).
