Insightful, Biblical Devotions

21 So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ 22 And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ 23 Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. 24 For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.” (Luke 14:21-24)

King Jesus has invited everyone to His messianic feast. Unlike earthly kings and queens who, when celebrating their anniversaries, only issue a certain number of invitations. And therefore, only a certain number of people can attend on the occasion. What a privilege for those who were invited to say: I was there, I saw the king and I dined with Him. And for some of those who were not invited who thought they ought to have been invited would be rushing to the palace asking for invitation, saying to whoever is in charge of issuing invitation: “Can you give us an invitation to the anniversary party?” Our saviour is not like so, He will not cast out anyone who comes to Him.

Even today whoever accepts His invitation will inherit the Kingdom of God. Are you willing to say to Him today, “Lord Jesus I choose to commit myself to you and make you the Lord and saviour of my soul from this time on and even forever more?” Receive Him now, and if you would pray the following prayer speaking each word out from your heart:

Dear Lord: I recognize that I am a sinner and need to be saved.
I understand that Jesus died in my place and suffered the judgment of all of my sins.
I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and He is at the right hand of the father.
Lord Jesus, I surrender my Life to you.
Come and Live in my heart and be my Lord and saviour.
Thank You for saving me. AMEN!
