Insightful, Biblical Devotions
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1).
God is our ever-present help in time of trouble, but it’s up to us to engage Him when we are in trouble. The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our helper. He has a solution to every single circumstance of life no matter what. He is available and He is adequate to help you. Let me ask you this: are you living your life in your own strength, in your own knowledge, and in your own wisdom? Are you working things out yourself? Are you facing life apart from seeking help from Almighty God who is all knowing, all powerful, and ever present in time of need?
God wants us to speak to Him, He’s always ready to hear us. “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” (Luke 11:9-10). What do you do when things are going against you? Commit your situation to the Lord. Commit your way to God because He is a good God.
