“But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood” (Gal. 1:15-16).
The Bible makes reference to the fact that God had a purpose for Paul’s life, a calling on his life from his mother’s womb. God has a plan for your life. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jer. 29:11). “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10). His plan requires obedience. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land (Isa. 1:19). It’s our responsibility to cooperate with God and carry out the duties He has assigned us to do.
Our goals in life have to be living to fulfill the purposes for which God created us. Many of God’s servants managed to do it and I pray that we will get inspiration from their lives and be able to fulfill our God given purposes as they did. They knew it was the right decision to live for God and to complete their mission assigned to them. The apostle Paul, at the end of his life journey was able to say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim. 4:7). He managed to fulfil his God given goal and I pray that so will you and me.
