Far too often, we look to our circumstances to determine what’s going to happen next in our lives. We often think that our joy is dependent on our circumstances. But you must not allow yourself to be defined by your past or chained by your current circumstances. Don’t let your present circumstances dictate your connection and faith in God. Know that there is an ever-present, all-knowing, compassionate God who cares for you and loves you regardless of your personal circumstances. And a connection with Him is what matters most.

You see, we are defined by our relationships more than anything else. Our relationships define where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going. Throughout the Bible, it’s easy to see a few select people who are so clearly defined by their relationships.
Likewise, you and I can build a close relationship with God and begin to see the limitless possibilities we have in him. In today’s message titled “You’re not defined by your circumstances,” Evangelist Paul Acquah encourages you to not allow your present circumstances to dictate your faith in God.
