There is a stark difference between our false identity – derived from unhealthy influences – and our true identity, based on who God says we are. One of the things that is a roadblock to our development is how we see ourselves. Sometimes, we tend to see ourselves according to how others see us.

But we need to see ourselves as God sees us! You see, the Bible is like a mirror, only when you look in it, you don’t see yourself the way others or even you yourself does – you see yourself the way God sees you. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see death and sin. He sees the life and grace that Jesus gave you.

Keep looking in the Bible and it will begin to build an image on the inside of you.
