Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser

New Year, New Thinking, New Heart, New Life

A time to make bold resolutions and predictions for what might unfold in the next months and years to come.  Happy new year to you! Let this year be a great year for you by receiving the greatest gift from the greatest of all. Your greatest victory of this year is to say yes to Jesus Christ. Conversely, your greatest defeat of this year is to neglect such a great salvation. Christ wants to make you new in this new year.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Cor 5:17).

He is willing to make you a brand new person if you will allow Him to do so.  If you desire to have a new life today you can surely have it through Christ our Lord and saviour. In fact, He will give you a new heart to enable you to walk in His ways.  He will take your hardened, rocky heart and give you a new one.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them (Eze. 36:26-27).

URGENT!!
Reader: Do not neglect so great a salvation

The good news of the gospel is greater now than any time in history, so embrace it.

Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him (Heb. 2:1-3).

Know the truth about your soul.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? (Mat 16:26)

It’s more than 2000 years ago since Christ died on the cross and rose again to cleanse us from our sins. Yet many haven’t received Him as their Lord and personal saviour. But Christ did not come to save a selected few. He came to give Himself as a ransom for many and yet many still don’t know the truth about Jesus, the only way to heaven. Know this truth and be free.

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

The truth is the person of Jesus Christ. He Himself said

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

Grace and truth came through Christ. Without Christ you cannot know the truth. He is the only one who takes away sins.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!  (John 1:29)

This is not a decision for the next few years but a decision that would change your life forever, it is the greatest decision you can ever make. Saying yes to Jesus means your sins are forgiven and you inherit the kingdom of God. He can take any sinner, a prostitute, a drunkard, a thieve, a murderer or whoever you may be, and make you lead a holy life and lead you to heaven. Christ died and rose again so He is alive right now and He is ready to forgive you. It doesn’t matter what you have done in the past, He died on the cross for every sin you have ever committed and will ever commit.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

He died for every sinner including you and me. You are secured in Him if you say yes to such a great salvation. Some reject this great offer but many receive and become the children of God.

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name (John 1:11-12).

You are adopted into His family where you can cry out Abba Father.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father (Rom. 8:15).

The decision to receive or reject Jesus is so important because it matters to all of us.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom. 6:23).

He doesn’t want sinners to die in their sin so He is at the door of your heart knocking for you to let Him in (Rev. 3:20). Invite Him into your heart today. Christ Jesus has borne the sins of the whole Human race on the cross and carried all our sorrows so put your trust in Him. Reader, start this year with a life in Christ by saying “yes I put my faith in you Jesus Christ” and have the joy of salvation.

You who are genuine believers in Christ, from this year, let the message go out from Jesus to everyone, seize every opportunity to share the gospel, He said: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life   for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).

" You are adopted into God's family where you can cry out Abba Father. "

Reader, don’t live in condemnation, heed to God’s word.

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)

These are not my words but those of Almighty God.

You thought Christ wasn’t for people like you, but you were wrong.

Do you think your life is in such a mess that God cannot turn it around? Do you think that addiction is far too severe for God to intervene? Or that sickness or habit is too far gone for God to do anything? Reader, get a new perspective today and trust in the Lord to work on your behalf.

This was what the Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul said to Timothy:

“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief” (1 Tim. 1:12-13)

The new-born apostle said he was the chief of sinners.

“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief” (1 Tim. 1:15)

This passage of scripture is encouragement to all of us. Paul has given us a little of his personal testimony.

God wants to save you and use you for His glory but you may be thinking He is calling the wrong person.  You may be saying “are you sure? I think you have made a mistake.  I’m a sinner and I never really thought Christ was for me. I thought He was out of my reach”. My reader, God doesn’t make a mistake. Allow Him to come into your heart just as you are. He is at the door of your heart knocking right now so just let Him in (Rev 3:20). Change your thinking. Never think it’s impossible for someone like you to be a child of God. If He saved Apostle Paul, who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, an insolent man, a murderer and a chief of sinners it proves that anyone can be saved.

With salvation available only to those who believe, the gospel is intended to give many people the right to be children of God (John 1:11-12). You may say “I don’t see how I can find right standing with God. You don’t have to see how, you just have to believe. This is a new year, so put on a new attitude and believe in the all-powerful God who created heaven and earth and everything in it.  He can turn every situation around, it doesn’t matter how it looks like in the natural because He is a miracle working God. There is nothing impossible with God. He wants to amaze you with His goodness. You may be thinking about all the reasons why your situation can never change.  Reader, change your thinking and believe in God. Present your case to Him today and He will grant you your heart desires. Don’t lean on your own understanding.

Sometimes it seems there is no way out or logical solution. If we concentrate on figuring it out we will get frustrated and eventually get discouraged and settle where we are without progressing. Just because we don’t see a way doesn’t mean God doesn’t have a way. He works in mysterious ways. Let me assure you that the greatest days of your life are before you.  The past is over so stop living your life looking in the rear-view mirror. God never consults your past to determine your future. Your sins will He remember no more if you are in Christ Jesus.

“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins” (Isa. 43:25)

My reader, it sounds too good to be true but it’s the truth because He is a good God. What are you expecting this year? God is longing to be good to you but you have to get your thoughts in the right direction. Stop looking at where you have been and start looking at where you can be. Forget about yesterday’s accomplishments or failures.  Say yes to Jesus and celebrate the start of the New Year, with His peace and love that surpasses all understanding.

More than 2000 years ago, Christ nailed our sins and diseases on the cross to herald the greatest change in our lives.

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24)

In what is seen as the demonstration of the greatest Love, billions who said yes to Christ have tasted His love and goodness and you can do so too. He has given us the free gift of salvation. Do the right thing by receiving Christ as your saviour. You can do this right now. Do not despise the faithful word of God because you will not escape the consequences if you neglect so great a salvation…

Please pray this prayer below speaking each word out from your heart.

Dear Lord: I recognise that I am a sinner and need to be saved.
I understand that Jesus died in my place and suffered the judgment of all of my sins.
I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and He is at the right hand of the father.
Lord Jesus, I surrender my Life to you.
Come and Live in my heart and be my Lord and saviour.
Thank You for saving me. AMEN!
